Chapter 10: It's the Person Who Makes the First Move that's at Fault

(CW: Attempted Sexual Assault, Mentions of an assault)

I accompanied Emma to a nearby park by carriage, only to be attacked when the area was no longer crowded.
Since this was a secret trip, both Emma and I were dressed casually like town girls, the carriage was designed to look like a horse-drawn carriage, and there was only one royal guard in disguise (or so it seemed).

A skilled member of the Howard family, dressed as a priest, shouted, "Take care of your life, my dear," and the royal guard, who had been told beforehand that it was a performance, seemed to be surprised and said, "Good work.”

The coachman (our elite) smiled as he jumped down from the carriage and said, "Well then, my lady! I wish you good luck!” With these words of encouragement, he hurried the royal guards away like the wind.

A few of the guards followed the rest, but I was sure that guards hidden throughout the area would be able to capture them and keep the royal guards from finding out that it was a real attack.

When Emma and I showed up, the six or seven or so attackers, dressed like travelers, looked puzzled.
We had planned the attack carefully, but the guards voluntarily stopped the carriage and abandoned their duties. The nobleman's daughter came out on her own and didn't seem to be frightened. It must have been a different story from the one they had imagined.

After regaining their composure, the men pointed their swords at me with a lowly smile.

"You're the Moon Princess, aren't you?”

“No, sir.”

“I have nothing against you, but … huh?”

“No, sir. I've never had such a shameful name.”

“It doesn't matter if you call yourself that or not! You've been called 'Princess of the Moon' before, haven't you?”

“That's … an unwanted name."

“Then you're our target! What the hell is wrong with you?”

A bear-like middle-aged man who seemed to be the leader of the group stomped on the ground. Now that I've reached my 60th birthday, I find it a bit cute to see a man of this age acting like a boy. I guess this is what they call "gap moe.”

The men regained their composure and opened their mouths to terrorize the isolated women.
"Heh heh heh, everyone's abandoned you, young lady.
Keep quiet and we'll take good care of you.
"No, I won't kill you. I'm not going to kill you. I'm going to humiliate you to death, though.”
"After a few pokes (of their dicks), you'll be the kind of slut who can't do without a man."
"I'm sorry, but …"

If I let him say any more, the members of Shadow and other guards of the Howard family who were hiding and watching would lose their temper, so I interrupted him.

"Um, you know who I am, right?”

"What? Yes, of course. You're the ex-fiancee who seduced the second prince, right? You're in the middle of being stripped of your identity and forced to leave the city after your misdeeds were exposed.”

“The engagement has not been dissolved yet. So I am still the fiancée of the second prince. Do you understand?”

“Understand what?! What do you mean …?”

"You know that the people you attacked are the equivalent of royalty … And you know that as a weak woman with a sword pointed at me, I have every right to eliminate you at all costs.”

This completes the declaration of thorough resistance.

What did they feel when I smiled at them? The strong men shuddered.

Attacker A is fainting in agony as Emma steps on him.
He was a bit of an airhead, the one who had first grabbed us, underestimating us as two women. Emma took advantage of his momentum and pigeonholed him, causing him to fall to his knees in a heartbeat. The members of Shadow are all trained in combat, so sinking an unwary opponent is no small feat. Hmmm, my men are good.

Emma then slammed her small fist into the stomach of attacker B, who was standing next to her.

After seeing that, she made up her mind that she couldn't stop now. The leader and several others also attacked.

As soon as Emma made her move, I was ready and waiting, and without hesitation, I activated the "Bear-chan Repellent Prototype No. 1," the result of my and Emma's leisurely … research that I had brought with me.

The first prototype, which looks like a slightly thicker pen, was made to resemble a laser pointer, with magic mixed in to make it spray chemicals at locked-on targets. It is activated by pressing a switch.
Like some kind of ally of justice, I carried a number of "Bear-cahn repellent" between my fingers and aimed and fired them one after another. In fact, the drugs inside are slightly different from each other.

"Oh, Miss! You have to take your time to find out which one is which!"

Emma complains as she kicks attacker B, who bends forward, holding her stomach.

“Don't be absurd! It's not like they're just going to sit around and wait for us! We have to make the first move!”

As soon as I confirmed that the marauders had been neutralized by the drug, I cut off Emma's complaint.
The men who escaped in the middle of the road have also fallen prey to the “bear-chan” tracking function a little further down the road.

“The two guys over here are the ones I've been working on. I'll take those two over there, my lady."

The expression on Emma's face as she clicked her tongue was that of a fierce beast just before putting the finishing touches on its prey.
For the record, the fierce beast had in its hand a "bear repellent" with a skull mark on it.

A few minutes later, I saw seven men in front of me, squealing and moaning in wild voices.

“Ugghhh! We give, we give! What is this!? Ouch! It really hurts!"

The one holding his eyes and screaming in agony at my feet was attacker A. After being pummeled by Emma, he was hit by her skull bear when he spoke hatefully.

“Hmm, looks like it's a little too stimulating. Let's change the blend of the medicine.
If you don't describe the pain, I won't know. The pattern, nature, and intensity of the pain. Here, here, how is it?"

Emma is relentless in her research.
I am aware that I am not the only one who has taken advantage of the information from the attack to experiment with new products.
However, if we leave it to the guards and the shadows, it will be a bloody tragedy, the new product is still unknown, and above all, we can not talk to Miss Charlotte, the client of the attack.
It's a little hurtful, but I'll just have to chalk it up to the cost of my misdeeds.

“If you're too close, you'll suffer collateral damage … But you can't always lock on to the face of your opponent. The rapid fire function and range need to be improved.
Emma, you can talk to me later. I'm sorry to see you like this, but I'm going to fix you up."

At the same time as my words, the lurking guards of the Howard family came out one by one.
When the attackers realized that they had been set up and completely lost their will to fight, I used my healing magic to neutralize the drug.

I negotiated with them to bring me to their client, who said that they were not going to hand me over to the royal guards and that he was planning to come and watch the assault.

He was hesitant at first, but when the royal guard, who believed it was a test for a new product, came to him, revealed his identity and praised him for his "good performance," he agreed to the negotiation. He was indeed aware that his life was in danger.

And now we are on our way to a certain inn.
On the way, they constantly complained that they hadn't been told we were still engaged, that it was a breach of contract, and that they had been cheated.

"Whether it was the prince's fiancée or a town girl, the request to rape a woman could not possibly be legitimate.
In the first place, it's because you're taking your time to say 'I'm sorry to hear that,' that you were caught off guard. This is not the right time for you. You should take this opportunity to get a real job.”

While I was lecturing him, we arrived at our destination.

Perhaps my daily demeanor of decency had helped, but when I explained that the meeting was for a new product, the royal guard was easily convinced.
